About Timmie Larode

A Midwife of the Soul

A mid wife of the soul, the story of Timmie Larode, started in the womb. Daughter of Olive Larode and Leon Larode, the middle child of 8 siblings, she was born in Trinidad and Tobago. It is said that when her mother was pregnant with her, she spent her days in the church assisting in service and praying.

As a child, Timmie witnessed her mother taking care of the sick in her village, where she was raised until she was 13. Many people would come to receive spiritual baths, traditional back cupping or simply just for prayer. Admiring her mother, she longed to do the same.

Her life shifted when she came to the USA at age 13. She worked in the fashion industry for many years. As her corporate career was coming to an end, she started offering shamanic meditation and became certified in Reiki.

Timmie strongly believes there is healing in pain, as a way to be of service to others, through healing our own.

Between 2017 and 2021 she began to understand her calling on a deeper level. The way of shamanism called her, which she started to study extensively. She became a certified Holistic Birth Doula and Shamanic Reiki practitioner. One of her most intensive trainings was the study of Tobacco and Master plants, becoming a Tabaquera in 2024.

Though she considers herself a world citizen, Timmie lives between NYC and the Sacred Valley of Peru, offering ceremonies, retreats and plant diets.
